Why do I need to understand the Quran?

The Quran is a miracle from Allah (ﷻ) given to Rasulullah (ﷺ) to guide the human race. The Quran is not only meant to be read, but also to be understood and must be practiced by the Muslims because it is a source of communication with Allah (ﷻ) to guide us on how to live in this life.

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ

"And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?” [Al-Qamar : 17]

This verse clearly states that Allah (ﷻ) loves His servant who loves to read the Quran and understands the content of the holy book and uses them as a reminder and a life lesson.

Why do I need to learn the Arabic language to understand the Quran?

The Quran was created by Allah (ﷻ) in the Arabic language. By mastering the Arabic language of the holy book, we can understand the meaning of its verses while reading or listening to the recitation instantly, without having to make any additional reference.

اِنَّآ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ قُرْاٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ

“Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran so that you may understand.” [Yusuf:2]
Ibnu Katsir explained on the Surah Yusuf, verse no.2:
“The Arabic language is the most eloquent, plain, deep and expressive of the meanings that might arise in one's mind.”

Why do I need to use Think Quran? We already have the Quran translation, don’t we?

The Quran translation is an excellent source of reference to understand the content of the holy book. However, to some, it can be quite difficult to remember the entire translation. And in order to understand the Quran at all times without any reference, one must have some knowledge of the language. Thus, here’s where Think Quran plays its role: to provide an effective and easy method to learn the language of the Quran.

Think Quran focuses on vocabulary that is often used in the Quran, which makes learning easier and more effective. This will help foster your long-term memory. Think Quran’s learning method also helps users who have the basic Arabic language to recall the words they have learnt, especially the words from the Quran itself.
The Quran consists of 77,429 words. Interestingly, when each word is counted, it is found that there are numerous words that are repeated. Just by memorizing 900 words alone, 80% of the Quran can be understood.

The uniqueness of Think Quran is to make the entire process of learning the Arabic language of the Quran easy and effective by focusing on learning and remembering the frequently repeated words.

The main goal of Think Quran’s method is for users to understand 80% of the Quran when they read or listen to the Quran.

Other than that, learning with Think Quran can be done anywhere based on your own time and comfort.
It depends on the individual. We aim for 6 months to master all 900 words if the topics/practices provided are done on a daily basis, continuously.
Yes, of course. Think Quran provides guidance on what should be learnt and gives a detailed report on the performance of each word that has been learnt. This will help users to focus and learn more effectively.
Most of the Quran applications are provided for the purpose of reading the Quran using gadgets. Meanwhile, Think Quran aims to help to learn and to remember the Arabic language of the Quran based on the vocabulary and frequently repeated words from the holy book.
“The one thing that can change your life forever is by understanding the language of the Quran.”

When the Quran is understood, the heart will enjoy reading the mushaf and listening to the recitation of the Quran. You will start to fall in love with the holy book. Listening and understanding the Quran will give you an indescribable peace.

Time flies when you read, understand and appreciate the content of the Quran. You’ll feel driven to find more knowledge related to it. “ ‘This is’ a blessed Book which We have revealed to you ‘O Prophet’ so that they may contemplate its verses, and people of reason may be mindful.” (Sad:29)

Reading, understanding and practicing the Quran is important so that we can obtain guidance from Allah (ﷻ) to have barakah in everything that we have, such as wealth, family and time. Taking the correct and blessed path of life can lead us to success in this world and the hereafter, in shaa Allah.
